How do I determine the projection on a window awning?
A: A standard projection would be approximately half the height of the
window. You can
choose either projection depending on how much of the
window you want to cover.
Q. How easy are they to install?
A. Very easy you just need a few simple hand tools and minimum carpentry
knowledge.

How long to they last?
A. The frames will last a lifetime. With proper care & maintenance the
fabric will last 10-12 years depending on the exposure.

Can I recover the awning?
A. Yes, we can replace the fabric. Just call for a free price quote.

How high do I mount the awnings?
A. Window Awnings: You can mount these right above the trim or on the
trim depending on how much of the window you want to cover. There is no
minimum height requirement. Door Awnings: In order for the door to open
freely without hitting the awning please see the brochure for height requirements.

Do awnings save on cooling costs?
A. Yes. They can save you up to 25% on air conditioning costs and reduce
a rooms temperature from 8 to 15 degrees. Based on tests conducted by
the National Bureau of Standards.

Do these awnings retract?
A. Yes. The window awnings have a rope & pulley system for easy retraction.
The door awning does not have the retracting feature.

Do any of the colors fade?
A. All Sunbrella colors are guaranteed not to fade for 5 years.

How much wind will they withstand?
A. Windows & Doors: These awnings will withstand gusts up to 40 to 50
mph. Patio/Deck Retractables: Depending on the size, up to 70 mph. Please
call for certified wind load chart. Eastem's Sunflexx awning is engineered
to withstand greater upward and downward pressure from wind or rain than
any other retractable awning system. We recommend that you always retract
any awning during inclement weather.

What is the maintenance?
A. They are virtually maintenance free. To add lifetime to the fabric
it should be cleaned and sealed every 2 years.
Q.
Do the frames rust?
A. No. The frames are 3/4" galvanized pipe and will not rust. The patio/deck
retractable frames are anodized aluminum with powder coated aluminum castings
and components.

Can I get actual fabric swatches?
A. Yes. You can request up to 5 different swatches at no charge.
Q.
What is the binding?
A. It is the small acrylic braid that runs around the bottom of the valance.
It comes in solid colors. The color binding should coordinate with your
fabric selection.
Q.
Can my awning be repaired?
A. Yes. Just send the fabric back to us and we will do any necessary repairs.
